- Adult small groups and committees will have booths and tables showing off what they do, and inviting you to participate in their activities.

Wednesday Afternoon Fellowship
- Wednesday Afternoon Fellowship (WAF) is an adult group that meets once a month to promote fellowship. Each month they offer a new program with a variety of speakers and topics. Following each program, there is a time for conversation with coffee and goodies!
- Where might you see: Mountain lions, naturalists, hummingbirds, geologists, the Border Patrol, the Mexican border or maybe even all the above and more?

CPC Parents and Friends
- CPC Parents and Friends meets once a month for a variety of outings. Some activities are for adults only (where childcare is offered at the church), while some are family-friendly activities for both children and adults.

Students Need Lunch Too!
- Interested in preparing a Sunday lunch for the students once or twice per semester?
- For lunch on Sundays we have been serving about 20-25 and usually try to provide a light meal of sandwiches, a casserole, breakfast items, or similar fare.
- Preparation involves getting groceries, preparing, and serving the lunch in Upper Westgate on Sunday following the second service (usually about 12:15pm). We have recipes that you can use and all dishes, utensils and cooking supplies are provided in the kitchen in Upper Westgate.

Free NAMI Classes The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Central Iowa will offer two classes in September for individuals with mental illness and their family members. Family to Family is a 12 session course for family members of adults living with mental illness, and Peer to Peer is a 9 session course on establishing and maintaining wellness for persons with mental illness. AmeZone—Youth Opportunity
- Applications are being accepted for AmeZone, a service learning group open to any youth in 6th -12th grade in Story County. It is a structured program that provides opportunities throughout the year for youth in the community to investigate and identify community needs, learn about problems they want to address, and create projects to solve these needs through service. AmeZone is facilitated by the Volunteer Center of Story County and United Ames.

Tai Chi Classes
- Classes meet 12 times on Thursdays in Westgate Center beginning September 9; Cost is $30.
- Tai Chi for Health - 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.—short & easy to learn designed for people with arthritis and older adults that has been shown to reduce pain and improve balance.
- Yang 24 – 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.- uses kicks and some turns which make it more challenging to learn, but it can be rewarding. For questions, contact Virginia Dowling-
